Back in the groove

So many thoughts and ideas move through my head. So many problems solved. Running is my peace of mind, my meditation.

Today's run... running to me is not about running for time or distance, it's about setting a goal and crossing the finish line. Haha, just kidding. It's about the bling, that pretty piece of medal at the end of the finish line.

"The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start."

Bringing my inspiration back...

2010 running accomplishments ~

In April, I ran the SLC half marathon... my first half marathon.

In June, I ran in the Ragnar Wasatch Back with 11 other amazing people. My total distance in a 24 hr period was 21 miles :)

In August, I ran the 10 mile Crim in Flint Michigan.

Early October I ran an easy 5 miles in the Bridge to Bridge in San Fransisco.

And in late October, I ran the Pink Series half marathon in Park City.

This year my goal is to run at least 4 half marathons, the 10 mile Crim and the the Salt Lake 10 miler and anything else I feel ready for.

"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement." - Steve Prefontaine
